The Moribito novels have been adapted into several manga series.

The first and second books in the series (Guardian of the Spirit and Guardian of the Darkness) have each been adapted into three-volume series. A third manga tying in with the anime series was published as a one-volume prequel focusing on Jin, one of the Hunters.

The manga adaptation of Seirei no Moribito (精霊の守り人, Guardian of the Sacred Spirit) is loosely based on the anime adaptation of the novels, and while it follows the plot of the book, the character designs are similar to those in the anime. The series was adapted by Saki Futatsugi and Nahoko Uehashi and illustrated by Kamui Fujiwara. Serialized in Shounen Gangan by Square Enix in 2007, the manga was later collected into three volumes.

It was serialized in Nemuki+ starting in 2014 and has been published in three volumes by Asahi Shimbun Publications. The volumes and chapters are not individually named. The manga tells the origin story of the Hunters Jin and Hyoku.
